If you’ve already beaten Blasphemous like I have, you’ve most likely run into the bad ending, which is honestly terrible, and it probably left a really bad taste in your mouth.
Nobody likes running into (without going into too much detail, so I don’t spoil anything) one of those endings where you realize that everything your character did was completely pointless. If you’ve seen it, you know exactly what I mean.
That’s why today I decided to explain how to unlock the Good Ending, an ending much more worthy of the name that gives you more of that “beating this game was worth it” feeling. Let’s get to the guide, then!
By the way, before anything else, you should know that you can perfectly well watch the Bad Ending and then go for the Good Ending afterward. That’s because after the credits, when you load your save again, you’ll go back to the save point before the fight against the final boss, and he’ll still be alive.

The Immaculate Bead in Blasphemous
The Immaculate Bead is the first item you’ll need to unlock the Good Ending in Blasphemous. It’s found in one of those rooms where you can cleanse your guilt at a statue, specifically the one in the “Graveyard of the Peaks”.
It’s a really useful item, since it basically absorbs your guilt when you die, so there’s no penalty at all. The catch is that this can only happen three times in total, and that’s exactly what you need to do.
Equip the Immaculate Bead and die three times. You’ll see that each time you die the Bead gets more corrupted, and its name changes too:
- Immaculate Bead.
- Bead Marked by Guilt.
- Bead Tainted by Guilt.
- Weight of True Guilt: This is the item you need for the Good Ending.
The Challenges from Breaking the Confessor Statues
Once you have the “Weight of True Guilt” Rosary Bead, you’ll need to equip it and head to every Confessor Statue scattered around the game to destroy them (attack them). Obviously this means you won’t be able to use them anymore, but that’s the price to pay for seeing Blasphemous’s Good Ending.
When you destroy them, you’ll see a sort of red summoning circle appear right where the statue was, which you can interact with if you have “Weight of True Guilt” equipped. When you do, you’ll have to complete a challenge made up of several waves of enemies. They’re not very hard, especially for you, since you’ve probably already overcome tougher things, like beating Crisanta of the Wrapped Agony.
Do this with every Confessor Statue and you’ll be able to unlock the good ending! Here are the locations of all of them:
Location of Every Confessor Statue
There are 7 Confessor Statues in total, and we’ve already seen the first one, so here are the other 6:
Mercy Dreams
The first one is in “Mercy Dreams“, and it’s the easiest one to find early in the game. We already talked about it in the Blasphemous Tips for Beginners post. This is also where you fight Ten Piedad.
Grievance Ascends
This one is in “Grievance Ascends“, the area right below “Jondo”, where we fought the Tres Angustias. The spot is where the pointer is, not the blue room.
Brotherhood of the Silent Sorrow
You can find the next one in the “Brotherhood of the Silent Sorrow“, where the game starts and where we face the first boss in Blasphemous. To get here, you’ll need to go through the northwest of “Jondo” and complete the quest for the old man who says he wants to get across to the other side.
This area is great, since it has pretty much everything you need close by.
Mother of Mothers
Another one is in “Mother of Mothers“, and to reach it you’ll have to go all the way around; in other words, you access it from above, not from below. The path going down is a shortcut you unlock after going all the way around. This is where we fight Melquíades.
Library of the Negated Words
The Library of the Negated Words is one of the most horrible areas in the game, and you probably won’t want to set foot in it again, but that’s how it is… This is the area of the map where we fight Expósito.
To reach this one, you’ll need the “Blood Perpetuated in Sand” Relic.
Wall of the Holy Prohibitions
And to finish, you’ll need to head to the last one, in the “Wall of the Holy Prohibitions“, where we fight Quirce, Returned by the Flames.
Remember that you need to break every Confessor Statue and complete the challenges they hold. Once you’ve completed them all, you’ll get the “Cvstodia of Sin“, which is ultimately what unlocks the Good Ending. Then go back for the game’s last boss and you’re done. I’ll talk about the meaning of both endings later on!
And that’s it! What did you think of the Bad Ending in Blasphemous? Have you unlocked the Good Ending yet? Do you now understand why these statues can be broken? Leave a comment!
